Dr. Tran: Dentist
Dr. Tran is a compassionate, kind, and caring dentist dedicated to providing exceptional dental care to patients of all ages. Born in a small rural area in Vietnam, Dr. Tran later moved to Switzerland, where he spent the majority of his formative years. After living in Switzerland for 20 years, he made the life-changing decision to immigrate to the United States in pursuit of his professional goals. Deeply committed to his community, Dr. Tran actively engages in various volunteer activities. Dr. Tran firmly believes in giving back and strives to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
Beyond his dedication to community service, Dr. Tran nurtures a vibrant array of hobbies. He finds solace and inspiration in playing music, whether it be strumming the guitar or tickling the ivories. Additionally, he enjoys the exhilaration of snow skiing, exploring new destinations through travel, immersing himself in nature through hiking, and finding tranquility in cultivating his hot pepper plants. With ongoing extensive continuing training, Dr. Tran offers a wide range of dental procedures to help patients achieve optimal oral health. From crowns and bridges to veneers, implants, root canal therapy, and extractions, Dr. Tran is well-versed in providing comprehensive dental care tailored to individual needs. Family holds a special place in Dr. Tran‘s heart.
Dr. Tran is happily married to his wife. Their three-year-old son is their biggest blessing. Together, they cherish the moments spent with their parents and siblings. Their strong family bond fuels their joy and serves as a reminder of the importance of connection and support. When asked about his proudest career accomplishment, Dr. Tran humbly expresses that it lies in the ability to make a difference in a person’s life. He is deeply gratified by the positive impact he has on his patients’ oral health and overall well-being.
Dr. Abdelnaser Elmahdi: Dentist
Dr.Elmahdi received his dental degrees from Garyounis University and the University of Detroit Mercy with a postdoctoral certificate in prosthodontics from Augusta University (formerly Medical College of Georgia). He is a talented dentist with over 20 years of experience in private practice and academic institutes. He works very hard to make his patients’ dental experiences easy and enjoyable. He provides optimal dental care and understands your desire for the best dental services appropriate for your circumstances and objectives.
Dr. Elmahdi completed an Advanced Education residency training in prosthodontics with a strong emphasis on dental implants, full-mouth makeovers, and cosmetic dentistry. He is dedicated to lifelong learning and stays at the top of his profession by ensuring he is up to date on the various innovations in the field of dentistry and the latest dental techniques and procedures. He attended the American Academy of Implant Dentistry MAXI Course, Pankey Institute’s Aesthetic course, and many other well-recognized dental courses. He is board-eligible with the American Board of Prosthodontics and a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. He was selected as one of America’s Best Dentists in 2016 and chosen by Detroit Hour Magazine in 2015 as one of the best dentists serving the Detroit area.
Dr. Elmahdi is married and has two daughters and one son. He enjoys time with his family, cooking, and playing soccer.
Liz Arriaza: Office Manager
Liz Joined the dental community in 2012 and has thoroughly enjoyed the relationships she has built with patients and within the dental team. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her son Gabriel and husband Tony.
Holly Jensen: Lead Assistant
Holly joined the Buford Dental team in 2021. She loves meeting and getting to know new patients. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her family.
Carla Fields: Dental Hygienist
Carla has loved the dental hygiene profession for 20+ years. Taking care of people’s dental needs and building relationships is a daily joy. Outside of work, she adores her family, which is made up of her husband, a son, and a pet dog. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, gardening, and crafts for relaxation. The source of her smile is coming to live with positive thoughts, a grateful heart, compassionate actions, and spirituality.
Jamie Plunkett: Dental Hygienist
Jamie is originally from Michigan and has been living in GA since 2003. She has over 27 years of experience in the dental community, 23 of those years as a dental hygienist. Outside of the office Jamie loves spending time outdoors camping, hiking and gardening with her three beautiful children aged 19, 15 and 4.
Glenda Rodriguez: Treatment Coordinator
Glenda has been in the dental field for over three years. She has lived in NY, FL, and now GA and loves being a part of the Buford Dental Family.
